Paper Roll Tail Position Inspection

Tail position identification saves wrapping material and time.  

By orienting the roll to position the tail just past the start of the wrap the length of wrapping required to wrap a roll can be reduced on average by 50%. Again, less wrapping saves customers by upwards of 15 to 30 seconds at each roll change.

Camera images a rotating roll and gives output signal whenever the roll tail is in the imaged area. This information can be used to position the roll tail so that wrapping is started from the roll tail position.
