Paper Roll Header Presence Check

Roll header presence (absence detection) reduces the risk of damage to the roll during packaging.

Cameras take images of roll ends after the inner headers are placed on to the roll and the roll has been wrapped. Images are analyzed for presence of inner header and if one is missing then camera signals the control system that a header is missing. If inner header is missing the roll can either be rewrapped or inner header can be placed manually before the roll is sent to get outer header glued at roll ends.
